A fee of $7.00 per vehicle will be required by Sylvan Lake State Park / or park for free with your Colorado State Parks pass.

Please leave your pets at home

Take 1-70 to Eagle, turn south towards town, turn right thru the roundabout and go to the first street left (Capitol Street) and go 0.75-miles south to brush creek road, turn left and go 14 miles to Sylvan Lake State Park.

Open to all Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts, Sea Scouts and Webelos Scouts. Cub Scouts (Tiger Cubs, Wolves and Bears) are welcome and there will be several courses for them to navigate.

Please volunteer to run or help run a station.

**Registration fee is $15.00 per person - extra patches will be available for $2.00 each at the event.

Check-in will begin at 9:00 am and sled judging will begin at 9:00 am.

Scout spirit will be a big factor in judging.

All patrols must have a patrol name and yell at check-in. Sled races will begin after lunch.

The course will consist of six required stations: sled judging, first aid, fire starting, obstacle course, knot tying, and sled race plus several fun stations.

Make sure your sled has the following equipment:
A working flashlight, patrol flag and improvements to sled over last year. One mess kit, flint and steel, one bottle of water, one candle, matches in waterproof container, one compass, handmade snowshoes for all patrol members, first aid kit containing: 2 leg splints (3’ long), 2 triangular bandages, tape, gauze, space blanket and four pieces of rope to tie splints on with , pocket knife, hatchet (sheathed) small saw with guard or folding saw, small notebook and pencil, scout handbook, sleeping bag and ground cloth, small signal mirror and whistle, troop or den#, town and chartered organization displayed on sled, copy of guide to safe scouting and a container to hold all of the gear. (duffel bag etc.)

The knots will be: Bowline, tautline hitch, timber hitch, sheetbend, clove hitch, double half hitch and prusik hitch.

Please bring your own sack lunch! There will not be food available this year.

Camping will be allowed Friday and Saturday night, cabins are also available at http://parks.state.co.us
