BOY SCOUT LEADERS (S11): Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS): 

IOLS is MANDATORY for all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops and Varsity Scout Teams.

WEBELOS LEADERS (C33): Outdoor Leaders Skills for Webelos Leaders (OWL): 

This course is designed to teach basic outdoor skills needed to complete many of the Webelos activity badges.

CUB SCOUT LEADERS (C32): Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)

Completion of this course is MANDATORY for at least one adult on a pack overnighter.

Please complete online prep course through My.Scouting.org learning center. 

Course Fees

There is no fee for the courses, but please bring $5 cash to help pay for a Cracker Barrel snacks Friday evening.

(Cracker Barrel is a get together for all people attending training to get to know each other and share insights.)

Important Information

For IOLS, OWL and BALOO training, you will be self-sufficient.  Bring your own food, water, cooking and eating utensils, tent, sleeping bag and warm clothes as it can get cool in the evening.  Also, bring a folding camp chair, notebook, flashlight or headlight, water bottle, sun protection, personal hygiene items and a personal first aid kit.

IOLS, OWL and BALOO training will begin at 6PM on Friday the 11th. We would like you to have your tent set up and be

 ready for training by then.  If you will be late, please contact Dave Smith prior to Friday.

Location

Training will be at Jolley Ranch outside of New Castle, Colorado. Take Interstate 70 to New Castle, Colorado, Exit 105.

Turn north and go to flashing red light (only stoplight in town), turn left (west) and go 1.2 miles and turn right (North) at 7th Street (Buford road) and go 1.4 miles. Turn left at the iron elk statue (Scout signs will be there to direct you to the camp site).
