Youth & Family Safety Webinar – The Navy’s Approach To Accident Prevention Webinar

Tuesday April 23, 2024 – 6 p.m. MT

The second Quarter webinar discussion with families, Scouts and leaders focuses on accident prevention.  Continuing our efforts to support Colorado as the safest place for youth and families to experience the outdoors, this 40-minute webinar presents Rear Admiral Mike Manazir, ret., and former Commanding officer of the USS Nimitz Aircraft Carrier.  Admiral Manazir, who commanded the $10 billion Nimitz, 65 aircraft worth $4.6 billion, and 5,000 crew members will present the Navy’s “no accident” approach to operations.  As Scouts and families engage in activities, the Navy’s practice of briefing, acting, and debriefing serves as a solid platform to conduct activities safely.

Please join us at 6 pm on Tuesday April 23 to learn this novel technique and participate in a Q&A session with Greater Colorado Council leadership.  Please extend this invitation to anyone you feel will benefit from this information, within or outside of Scouting.

Please register below, and you will recieve the Zoom link in the confirmation reciept.
