2021 Virtual Black Feather District Pinewood Derby Championships

 

The Black Feather District Pinewood Derby has been cancelled due to the low number of entries and is moving to the Fall.  Please look out for details on the District Website and District Newsletter.  

This year’s District Pinewood Derby will be a great recruiting opportunity for your Pack!

WHO MAY ENTER:   All registered Cub Scouts from Lions to Arrow of Light, whether or not they have participated in a Pack Pinewood Derby this year, are urged to participate!  The entry fee is $8.00 which covers the cost of pins, medals, trophies and location rental.  

In addition, each Pack will receive five (5) FREE, yes five (5) FREE car kits as part of the District’s Spring recruiting program.  Please invite five prospective Cub Scout age boys/girls AND Cub Scouts that may have recently dropped out of the program.  They will participate in the Open Division.  E-mail Tim Davies, Program Chair at scoutzilla16@gmail.com to arrange to pick up your five (5) free car kits.  Please be sure to return the unused kits.  

There is no registration fee for the non-scouts that participate in the Open Division.  All Pinewood Derby participants will receive the official 2021 Pinewood Derby pin driven by our mascot “PeeVee”.

For those units that did not conduct a Pinewood Derby, results will be provided to leaders so trophies may be awarded at the Pack level.

WHEN:  Saturday, June 12th

WHERE: “Virtually” in Kirk Hall at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock.  Current restrictions limit attendance to just the event staff.   Please check the Black Feather District website periodically for viewing information HERE

TIME:  Races will start promptly at 9:00 am

**IMPORTANT REGISTRATION & WEIGH-IN DEADLINES**:  All registrations must be submitted by and cars dropped off, inspected and weighted in no later than Thursday, June 10th.  Please review ALL of the information in the General Information and Official “Rules of the Road” by clicking on the following link below:

AWARDS:  1st, 2nd & 3rd place trophies for each of the following groups plus overall 1st, 2nd and & 3rd place trophies for the Cub Scout Champions:

Cancellation Policy
No refunds, the event will be rescheduled.
